Design preview
A canvas for the notch.
Start empty. Drag widgets, tools and buttons into place, then choose Apply to Notch. Draft edits do not change the live notch until you do.
The public Notch 4.0 download still has the previous customization interface.
A few things to know.
Will it work on my Mac?
Notch needs an Apple Silicon Mac with macOS 14 or later. A built-in camera notch is optional: it works on other displays too.
Are these ready-made presets?
These six setups are layout inspiration for the new canvas, with sample content, rather than downloadable presets. The current public Notch 4.0 download has the previous design and customization interface.
Is Notch free?
Yes. The public app is free under GPL-3.0-or-later, with no activation key or feature locks. Optional support plans are USD 3/month or USD 24/year, for official builds, updates and email support. See plans and renewal terms.
What about privacy?
No app account or automatic telemetry. Clipboard history and text recognition stay on your Mac. Optional online features make requests when used, and tools request only the macOS permissions they need.

Make some room up top.
Free to use. Signed and notarized. Yours to arrange.
